You may be asking how you can put yourself into a position to receive God’s best into your life.
God is concerned about the growth of His kingdom here on earth and the willingness of people to perform God’s Will, His plans and His desires. God is in search of those who will say, “Here I am. Send me.” This is exactly how Isaiah showed His attitude and passion towards God’s work. (Isaiah 6:6) Interestingly, such attitude is rare. It is unique. In Ezekiel 22:30 God says, “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.” He found none who would act on behalf of God interceding for people living in the land. Jesus tells a parable about the wedding banquet in Matthew 22:1-10 where the rich man invited many people to join the celebration, however, everyone found an excuse not to come. God speaks to His children all the time but they pay no attention to His words. People who were invited didn’t feel that the owner of the banquet deserved their presence, even though everything was ready to welcome them with the highest honour. So, what did the king do with those who refused to come to the banquet? Jesus says that the king was enraged. He sent the army and burnt the cities where they lived (v. 7) God wants to fill your life with His! He is in search for those who will say ‘Yes’ to his call. Revelation 19:9 says, “Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” He wants the bride to be ready and receive His invitation. He wants you to say, “Here I am, Lord. Send me. Use me. Fill my life with yours.” When you receive Jesus, you don’t just receive His life, but you receive His death to the sin. Only when we decide to die for sin do we then receive His life in full. Romans 6:3-4 says, “… don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Don’t be scared to say, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.” Only on the road of your partnership with God there is God’s best having been prepared for you. John 14:6 says, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Prophet Isaiah thought he was not worthy to take the call of the Father: '“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”' (Isaiah 6:5) Isaiah was right. He was what he was – he was the man with unclean lips. But once the intention of his heart was clear to God he made his lips worthy to speak on behalf of God: “Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, ‘See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.'” (v. 6-7) God is looking for those who will stand for Him. He keeps asking, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” (v. 8) If you want your prayers to be heard, you need to be right with God. Isaiah 59:1-2 says, “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” You may easily feel like the man with unclean hands and lips, just like Isaiah felt. However, you have Jesus as the atoning sacrifice for your sins. 1 John 2:1-2 says, “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” Through the Bible we see how the life of a person changes when he answers the call of the Father. It happened to Abraham, Moses, Samuel, Isaiah and many others. They put themselves into the best position in front of God making themselves available for God to work through them. Now, this is what the Lord says: 1…“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. (Isaiah 43) Receive God’s best into your life and stay blessed, in Jesus Name!
