Dear friend, who do you look like? Of course, you look like your mother and father. But also, you look like God. The Bible says, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27) What does it mean? This means that our God is the Creator. He created this world, heaven and earth, plants and all animals. You can also create: write stories, paint, construct towers and fashion sculptures from clay. You are talented! And all these gifts are given to you by God!
Our God has got an amazing personality – He can be joyous and angry; He has a good sense of humor and he can love, because He is Love. You also have got an amazing personality – you can laugh and be sad, you may not like something and, of course, you know how to love.
Dear friend, do you know that you are unique? This means that you are special because there is no one like you in the whole world! Just imagine, millions of people lived before you and will live after, but there was not and could not be another person like you. You will not be able to find another person with the same character, appearance and destiny. You may disagree and say, “But twins are so much alike, and it is so difficult to tell them apart.” Indeed, the twins look alike but this is only on the surface. Even they are very different. They have different characters, tastes and habits. And, surely, each of them has a unique life journey. You must have heard that all people have different finger prints? But our differences are not limited to just finger prints. Even your handwriting is different; it is so hard to fake it. The finger prints help police in their crime investigations, and the dog will use smells to detect its owner. Isn’t it incredible? The Bible says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made”. (Psalm 139:14) God shows His love to you in the fact that you are wonderfully made. As God loves you, He loves all other people too. The Bible says that God knows you and “even the hairs on your head are all numbered”. (Matthew 10:30) For this alone you can thank God every day.
Pray with us: “Almighty God, thank you that you created me so beautifully. Thank you that you love me. Thank you for mommy and daddy. Bless my whole family. In Jesus Name. Amen.”
